Taketsuru 21yo Port Wood Finish, 80th anniversary bottled in 2014, 46% ABV.
It’s nose is much flowery than expected and reminds me the label because of a little violet flavor.
Palate is smooth as 21yo but deep and clean leafy taste with hint of toast is good enough for anniversary bottling. Finish lasts long as blended and recalls the richness of Yoichi and Miyagikyo casks.
Socond and third pics show Taketsuru Note, which is the root of Japanese whisky and very rare to see it at whisky bar. (This bar’s master is Senior Ambassador of Taketsuru thus she has Taketsuru Note replica on her hands.) .
