Mars malt H.bolina, distilled at Kagoshima in 1984 and bottled in 2009, 25 years single malt, one of only 111. Back two bottles are le papillon series single casks.
I encountered it at #barhiguchi in Fukuoka city.
Nose – sweet soy source, sweet ginger, broiled chestnut.
Palate – straight and fresh sweet malon with Japanese style soy source. Little astringency.
Finish – sort in fragrance with some scales feeling
It is not “Tsunuki” made but was made in Tsunuki when it was not so called about 33 years ago. Thanks for the shot, Higuchi san…!
